I have always wanted to be a mom, but it didn't happen and I find myself single and nearly 40. So, I'm embarking on the journey of co-parenting and I'm excited about it! I would prefer to co-parent with a gay man, but I'm open to other options like parenting with a gay couple, a hetero man, or single parenting.
I have strong values about how I want to raise a child and would like to discuss parenting styles quite thoroughly. I have studied, read, and done workshops on several different topics that are dear to my heart, such as:
- Nonviolent Communication: I did a family workshop, aimed at parenting with NVC and I intend to use this type of language with my children
- Attachment parenting
- Co-sleeping
I was raised on the teachings of Edgar Cayce. I eat very, very healthy and intend to provide the best diet I can for my children. I don't consider myself fully religious, but I am very spiritual and dip into several religious paths. I attend Christian church, Buddhist meditation, South American plant ceremonies, and Messianic Jewish Shabbat. I believe every religion has something to offer. This is what I was taught growing up and I intend to teach my children the same.
I am primarily from Scottish background, but I also have some German, Welsh, and other European nationalities in my ancestry.
