I would say that my life so far could be best summed up as;one that just didn’t go right at all. I had expectations and dreams that just didn’t happen. My biggest dream was to Love Someone and have them Love me back. My next dream was to become a Father. I was really close on the first dream but not on the second. I would do anything for anybody;even give them the shirt off my back if they needed it. I am one of the most caring, compationate and honest guys you could ever meet. My life changed a little in 2003 when I lost the sight in my left eye. I slowly adapted to the situation and could live a completely normal life. I loved to work, Golf, play Pool and other sports as well. I imagined life to be really great and one day my dreams would come true. In September of 2005 I made the ultimate mistake that would change my life forever. The retina in my right eye detached in July and I was in for surgery the next morning. There were some complications so I needed to have another surgery about 4 days later. The surgery went well. The Doctors stated that it would be about 12 weeks until the retina would be fully grown on. It was about 7 weeks after surgery and I made a very bad decision to try to loosen a plug from a very rusted galvanised fitting. I put on a pipe wrench and a long extension pipe for extra leverage. I grabbed the pipe and started pulling. I did not realize that the pressure would drive right up my arm and into my head and eventually detach the retina in my right eye once again. The next morning I was in to see the surgeon again. There was a surgical attempt to reattach it but it was not successful. I am now left with a minimum amount of vision in my right eye and my dreams appear to be over. I stumbled upon this website and thought that perhaps it could make one of them come true. Perhaps there is a caring and compationate Woman out there that wants to make my dreams come true as I do hers. I think this process can work and I am hopefull that it will.
