I'm "white" on the outside, though born and raised in Africa, while my husband is ethnically Welsh. He is older and cannot have more children. I have always wanted children and yearn to have a child now. Our marriage is stable and happy, and we will be good parents.
We're looking for a balanced, intelligent, healthy man of sober(ish!) habits to provide quality fresh sperm suitable for home AI, preferably in Bristol. (We will provide you with a number of lidded test-tubes, to be filled and then picked up or dropped off as suits both our schedules best, for a few days each month.)
On my side, I've been tested and my fertility is normal (though I'm successfully losing weight to improve our chances). I test and log a *lot* of markers for ovulation, so we can be reasonably sure of when the "fertile window" is.
At this point, we're looking for a second sperm donor on our journey -- the first was amazing, but not local to Bristol and had to stop due to family responsibilities. On the positive side, we've learnt a lot and had time to read a lot, so this time we'll avoid a few mistakes.
We will do our utmost to respect your time and privacy and ask that you do the same. Good communication is critical, especially as this process is sometimes surprisingly emotional.
We can only consider donors who have been tested for fertility as well as STI's, and are willing to share the results. Please say if you would like us to cover these expenses.
BOTTOM LINE: We're looking for a KNOWN DONOR (AI); we're happy to give updates to the bio-dad and are open to an “uncle role” for him (this will need careful discussion) but want to avoid coparenting.
