I have made nice connections all over the world, and have had the pleasure of hosting women and couples from all over the U.S. and the world. I prefer to form a friendship through email, IM, skype, and phone calls as I do want to be kept informed as to how the pregnancy, birth, and child rearing is going. To me, this is what being a known donor is about - being known. I agree to meet the child when the parent(s) feel the time is right. I do not want to co-parent, however, and keep my role as the donor. This has worked well so far with my other recipients.
