Other Info: We're a married lesbian couple, both 28, thinking of starting our family and wanting to keep all options open as to how that happens. Going through a clinic is quite expensive, but the features of it we like (and would prefer to have even in an external donor situation) include health screenings and health history, limits on numbers of donations from a single individual, and legal protections for us as parents. We are definitely NOT looking for third or fourth parents or a true co-parenting situation at all, but the potential for casual contact with our future child is totally there and it's definitely important for us to be honest about their origins + give them the option to reach out to you in the future.
