I'm destined to raise kids, I know that. Nothing compares to spending time with kids, either teaching, playing, taking care of, or just enjoying the chaos. However, I've never met anyone that has the combination I seek: wants children; is intelligent and mature; doesn't want an intimate sexual relationship; has had some success in life; and agrees in parenting style. I've been looking for a long time.
I've taught children, babysat, and volunteer for a parenting support system.
I've been working towards solo-adoption, with plans to begin the process in 2 years. However, co-parenting just came onto my radar as an option, so I thought I'd put out my feelers.
My ideal co-parent would be just as passionate about parenthood as I am. My main desire is a relationship of stability, one in which we can enter parenthood together with a rock solid foundation of trust, openness, and longevity. In that spirit I hope to find someone who does not need a sexual or romantic relationship as those are two big sources of instability. At the end of the day I need a committed co-parenting relationship in which we agree to remove as many potential sources of instability as possible. Also, you have to be able to conceive. It's also fairly important that we agree on living style and plans because I would like to share a house with my co-parent partner.
