Co-Parenting on the BBC

I’m working on a piece about single women who choose to co-parent. It’s after a friend of mine recently announced she’d fallen pregnant after coming to a co-parenting arrangement with a gay male friend. She feels the time is right to become a mum, but she’s yet to find a male partner she’s ready to start a family with.

My friend wants to remain anonymous, and I appreciate many people who are co-parenting or looking for a co-parenting arrangement may feel the same. I’m looking for a single woman who’s willing to talk about her experience of co-parenting. I’m interested in stories at any stage of the process – from looking for a co-parenting arrangement to several years after the birth.

About me: I run a team making digital video for the BBC’s social media accounts. We’re based in Salford and tasked with telling stories from the Midlands and the North of England. The final co-parenting piece would be a short documentary (60-120 seconds) published on Facebook.
