Hello - I'm Walter, a healthy Belgian engineer, father of 4 healthy children and volunteer for sperm donation overseas. My key motivation is all my respect for the courage of women taking the existential step forward to motherhood through donation, and the fact that any donor child merits access to information about his / her identity. I'm open to contact with a donor child. I donate at distance, travel costs are on my account, also for a first encounter that comes without any expectation. For me distance is not linear but spacial. Donation for me doesn't come with the intention to start a family with the woman I would support, instead she, and eventually her partner and surroundings, deserve a life without unwanted interference from my side. However, a donor child will be always welcome to contact me, anytime, anywhere. As I am having children and a family I'm not a donor with hidden intention. As I assume you may want to meet and take time before a decision is being made, I also want to grant that trajectory to make a well-considered decision. So ... I don't come with any assumption whatsoever. Further, I do advise any woman facing her biological clock also to explore possibilities of freezing egg cells to avoid stress, to 'buy time'.
