Hi all, I’m a features editor at Marie Claire (U.S.) magazine, and I’m working on a big package about fertility and family-building options for our July issue. We’re including a feature on egg-freezing; some fertility timelines from various doctors; a chart of various family-building options and how much they cost; statistics; etc.
We feel like it’s extremely important to get a co-parenting POV in the package, as more and more of our readers are considering this option, but we’ve had a hard time finding a writer with this experience who could write an essay. So instead, I’m looking for a co-parenting couple, a straight woman and gay man, to do a back-and-forth as-told-to interview. It would take about 20 minutes and would be about 1/4 page in the final package. We’d need to do it quickly (like over the weekend or early next week).
We’d want you to be in the U.S. and in our age demo (between 23 and 40). My writer would interview you about your experiences (how you met, what your relationship is like, what co-parenting is like). It would be chatty and informal, though, since it would be a back and forth conversation.
