Hi all. I'm on here after reading that there is a shortage of donors in the UK and I want to help those in need.
I'm 19, studying at university towards a master's medical professional degree.
I'm 6ft tall, athletic, intelligent and have no medical conditions or issues.
I come from a family with no history of heart disease, diabetes, mental health issues, degenerative brain diseases or drug abuse/addiction problems.
I am Caucasian, with brown hair and blue eyes.
I would prefer near-complete anonymity, with nothing traceable to me. I am more than happy to sign legal agreements waiving my right to any parental responsibility.
I am more than happy to verify myself via phone-call or video (i.e. Skype) before meeting in person, and happy to answer any questions about myself that you may have. Literally anything; I completely understand that finding the right match is important.
I would respectfully request compensation for any travel expenses incurred by myself, as well as a small amount per hour simply to make my donations financially sustainable. All expenses will be agreed beforehand and evidence will be provided by myself of time taken out of my day-to-day.
I will also be signing up for donating at the Birmingham Women's hospital. I occasionally donate blood and take part in clinical trails, so am regularly screened for any diseases.
