Hi!
I currently reside in Zagreb, Croatia; my stated location refers to my origin.
I have helped conceive a child through this website with the first and only recipient (heterosexual couple) I contacted until August 2026. In the experience I've gained so far, including seeing what it's like being a recipient, most of the cosmetic reasons I can list here are largely irrelevant. Here are the important bits:
- Zero STDs with proven documentation
- No need for anonymity (yet not looking to co-parent)
- Focus on developing trustworthiness (and will sign contracts)
- Commitment, common interests, and extraverted sociality
- Transparency
Transparency? Well, concretely:
While I have successfully helped conceive the child, it was via IVF (6 mature eggs fertilized with ICSI, then 3 developed into high-grade embryos, and 1 resulted in a pregnancy). I still have some issues with oligospermia with varying and yet unclear results, and it's not entirely obvious that IVF is necessary (for example, my last check had a healthy 42m+ motile sperm cells). The recipient had failed to conceive with another donor from the site, as well as one personal friend, and several additional donors on Co-Parent were unsuitable for at least one of the reasons I listed above.
I am usually thoughtful about my messages and considered these factors in advance. This is a big deal for a donor, of course. It is one of the reasons why I am a better option for women who already must use IVF. But I don't think AI is out of the question, my recent count numbers suggest it's viable, and I'm happy to discuss the details on a call. Call, call!
And if it worked out (I haven't had the opportunity to try), these are more nice-to-haves:
- Positive physical health and psychological indicators (smartypants babies)
- Genuine friendship for everyone involved (or not - especially if you're a couple, but at least during the period)
- Experience with (and solicited practical advice for) pregnancy, IVF, and childrearing (since I've been a babysitter as well)
My motivations for being a donor are varied. I frankly think that the value of doing this beats virtually anything else I could do with as much effort. I really should emphasize again that I'm not looking to co-parent, since I intend to have a family of my own. I imagine a wide space for "occasional to no contact" that depends entirely on you.
I know the platform subscription is a mild hurdle, and you can't message without it, but it's a very small cost. A dozen euros is like 2 coffees - for a whole kid!
Looking forward to connecting and thanks for reading!
