Other Info:
Hello. ๐ I'm a mid-thirties heterosexual man who's currently feeling very blessed in life โ materially, medically, and otherwise โ and so considered becoming a donor after reading about the domestic sperm shortage.
(Please note that I'm currently undergoing genetic screening and other health checks through a fertility clinic. Feel free to get in touch in the meantime, although I won't be a paid member who can respond until that's all sorted.)
ABOUT ME (feels weird treating this like a resume, but here goes):
My background is a bit of a mixed bag: I'm ethnically half-British (with a pinch of Norwegian and Eastern European thrown in) and half-Egyptian. You might get genes for blue eyes, you might get genes for brown eyes. ๐ฒ I was born in Perth and have lived here all of my life... raised Christian, but now agnostic. English is my only language.
Personality wise, I'm a pretty optimistic, open, pun-loving guy who's always been relentlessly curious about science, history, and the world more broadly. I've also learned a lot about relationships and women over time, and consider myself pretty attuned and considerate. I have particular respect for people who are fair-minded, calm, constructive and non-judgemental, who care about holistic truths and society-building, and who step clear of the jaded, bad-faith tribalism so common of modern discourse.
My hobbies range from football (โฝ) to writing, with enough passion to win awards for both. My life has been pretty rich, with some moments that quite honestly sound unreal on paper... as a teen for example, I received a music scholarship that let me travel Europe and perform for the late Queen, and as an adult I've been involved in various exciting industries (including space, to the extent of undertaking expeditions and astronaut simulations ๐จโ๐).
Some more nitty-gritty:
- I'm pretty well-educated and living comfortably, with a stable government job.
- I have no known hereditary diseases, and an all-clear recent blood check/MRI... noting that genetic screening and semen analysis are still pending.
- Further, I'm a bit of a health nut: I stick pretty closely to a Mediterranean diet, practice intermittent fasting on a daily basis, and where possible eliminate environmental environmental toxins and carcinogens (PFAS, phthalates, bisphenols, etc.). Much of this has been with my own family planning in mind (since the epigenetic health of the father prior to conception has a marked impact on child outcomes), but it's a happy bonus if you and your child benefit too!
- Psychologically I'm in great health, with no history of chronic depression, anxiety, addiction, or any other mental health disorders.
- Neither my partner or I have any history of STIs (and she's onboard with me becoming a sperm donor).
Well done if you got to the end. ๐
Again, please don't hesitate to get in touch if you think I could help you, or if you have further questions (there's so much more I could have prattled on about). Hopefully I should be able to answer soon.
