Other Info:
I am a single woman who is looking for a donor, as my number one dream in life is to become a mother, and due to timing/circumstances with relationships/lots of travel etc it just hasn't happened. I am currently single, not really looking to partner up (ie if it happens it happens but in no great need) and to put it bluntly, unfortunately for we women-folk, time can run out! I was raised by a mother and partially by a stepfather, but in most ways I feel I was raised by a single mum - I only had brief contact with my biological father later in life after tracking him down due to curiosity. Having said that, my mother's side of the family is huge. I have over 30 cousins (of which I am one of the oldest), and even more second cousins, and therefore have been raised around babies and children my entire life. I also have a close group of life-long friends since early childhood who I consider to be like family. So while I am more than happy and fell very confident to be a single parent (in fact would prefer it), I also would never feel alone in the journey. I am hoping to find someone who following discussions would be willing to try to help grant me my dream. I am willing to talk about things such as contact with the child (depending on circumstances I may be comfortable with it and would definitely prefer to at least have the option for a child to ask questions later in life), and would also be happy to discuss my values and opinions regarding raising a child, so that any potential donor would feel comfortable they are helping someone to raise a happy, healthy, loved and loving person. I would like to add that in the 'ideal match' section i chose 'Needs Discussion' for the method of donating, but would like to specify that one option definitely not up for discussion is 'natural insemination' haha - I'm definitely a partner type of girl for that method! I also selected 'degree' for level of education but this is also something that could be open, as I don't necessarily feel that a level of formal education is an indication of intelligence. Basically I would like a donor who is reasonably bright, but I don't think that profession or education is the best way to judge that. I also obviously would like someone with a good nature but generally think that anyone who is considerate enough to involve themselves in granting someone this gift is probably on the right track there! I am yet to upgrade my profile here to reply to messages, but once I have had a few more health checks and am to that stage I will do so ASAP. I'd then be happy to answer any questions or chat with anyone who could be a potential donor. Thanks for reading!
