While we're not planning on conceiving just yet, we know from others that the process of finding and getting to know the perfect donor can be a long journey, so we're starting early!
Ultimately we're looking to be full time parents so co-parenting doesn't feel like an option for us - however we'd like to be able to explain to our child where they've come from, so we would like our Donor to be a known presence in the childs life, if not actively involved.
Our careers so far have both been in Theatre. Fleur is a stage manager and I'm a wardrobe technician. We love camping when we get the chance, both of us are avid readers, and like watching films. We sing. (Mostly in the car!) Fleur loves cooking, and I love making stuff, playing the piano, and anything about space, nature or history. We're fond of animals and have two cats. I also volunteer as a counsellor (and have a degree in counselling) so I'm interested in psychology and wellbeing. We both exercise, and try to take care of ourselves.
Fleur is a strong, reliable, organised caring provider. She sometimes finds it hard to express herself. Ruth is a kind, communicative, creative listener. She sometimes finds it hard to be organised and tidy! We balance each other out quite nicely. We both go out of our way to help out friends.
We got married in June last year, after 10 years together. We own our home, and both have supportive and loving friends and family around us. Due to Fleur being a little older, Ruth will be the one getting pregnant - however we would like our child to have some physical similarities to F if possible. She is short (5ft) and strong, with dark hair and hazel/green eyes
