If a donor has been restricted due to a significant medical issue in an offspring they are termed under Donor Medical Status however not all medical issues reported result in a restriction.

Fairfax Cryobank offers lifetime photos which for some donors include adult photos. Sperm donors provide a series of photos from infancy through to adulthood.

ID Option donors agree to share identifying information with any registered offspring when they reach 18 years or older.
Donors have a face to face interview with staff and many donors express a desire to help those who are unable to have children of their own. Donors are then required to fill out a health history questionnaire with detailed information about themselves and their families.
The sperm donors then undergo a physical exam and extensive blood work to test for an array of disorders. Sperm samples must pass a minimum standard to be considered for this sperm bank.
Once a donor has been accepted into the sperm bank, he is tested for infectious diseases on a recurring basis and must maintain a minimum sperm quality. Donors will typically work with Fairfax Cryobank for at least 6 months and will visit the Cryobank on average twice a week to provide specimens.

Audio interviews are available on most of the donors. These audio interviews can provide insightful information into the donor's childhood, aspirations, accomplishments, values, family life, and personal interests in his own words.
Sperm Donor Medical History Profiles:
Medical profiles provide detailed background medical, family history information on the donor, his siblings, parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. They also include genetic disease testing the donor had done during the screening process.
Sperm Donor Personal Profiles:
Personal profiles comprise 15 or more pages of detailed personal information about the donor, his siblings, parents, and grandparents. Some of the donor's personal information includes his interests and goals, academic scores, military record, specific facial features, and other details about family members.

Essays are available on most of the sperm donors at Fairfax Cryobank. The essays are a series of questions and answers that tell you a little more about the donor on a personal level.
Sperm Donor Staff Impressions:
Staff impressions are available on most of the sperm donors at Fairfax Cryobank. Many patients simply wanted to ask a member of staff "what do you think of this donor?" Staff members who work directly with specific donors will write a staff impression.
Ordering Sperm Vials:
Typically, 1-2 vial(s) are used per procedure or cycle. You may wish to purchase multiple units for future cycles or family building and place into storage at Fairfax Cryobank.
International Shipping
In some situations, a deposit of $975.00 (U.S. dollars) may be required for each nitrogen container shipped internationally. The deposit is refundable upon return of the shipping container in good condition to Fairfax Cryobank. Fees and arrangements associated with the return of the shipping container to Fairfax Cryobank are the responsibility of the person receiving the shipment. All fees including the shipping container deposit (if applicable) must be paid prior to shipment.
